UCare Updates for 2026

As of January 2026, Medica signed an agreement to buy individual and family health plans from UCare.

Both insurance companies are Minnesota-based nonprofit health plans and current MNsure partners.

If you bought a UCare plan for 2026, you may have questions about your current health insurance or what will happen next. Rest assured—your coverage is not changing.

• Plans will still have UCare in the name.
• Benefits will stay the same.
• Provider networks will not change.
